Don’t leave home without it

One thing to remember when using a digital camera is that you need a memory card. Word to the wise, don’t take your camera to work to show off your fancy new toy just to leave your memory card at home so no body can see the results or how the thing actually works other than to stand there and say, ooh…ahh…where’s the picture?

The fall colors are fading fast, and with the storm that is blowing in tomorrow, I suspect that most of the leaves will be gone from the trees. Because it has been so terribly dry here in northern Virginia, we did not get a lot of color this year, but a few of the trees around here are just beautiful. One thing you don’t get growing up in Texas like I did is seasons. It just goes from hot, to hotter, to when is this heat going to end, and then it’s not so bad for a couple months just to start the process all over again. So that’s one very nice thing about living in Northern Virginia is the change that happens every year. I would guess that we won’t see any warmer weather until things come to life next year, and I get to start a new part of my life with the beautiful, wonderful, amazing Liz.
