Shannon

Shannon has been doing some modeling for a couple months now, and she and I have been planning a shoot for about a month.  We came up with some concepts that we both really liked and decided on a date we would do the photo shoot.  I am trying to constantly update my portfolio and feel out what direction I would like to take my photography.  It’s been an exciting couple of years since I bought my first digital SLR, and now I am actually going a bit backwards and trying to work some film into the mix as well.

This would be my first shoot in my studio, so not only would I be meeting a new model & friend for the first time, I would be trying to get a feel for the space, what works there, what doesn’t.  My best bet was to keep it simple. Simple lighting, simple backgrounds, just clean and fun.

There will be a later follow-up post once I get through all my digital images from this weekend and can get my film images scanned and processed.
