Melissa

I met Melissa last January when I took Don Gianatti’s Lighting-Essentials workshop in Baltimore.  She had just turned 17 and was a Senior in High School.  She came with her mom, a former runner-up for the Miss Trinidad and Tobago pageant.  She has since graduated from High School in Fort Belvoir, and is attending classes in NYC.  Since she’s been up there, she’s done a shoot with Cathrine Westergaard, who does really awesome work.   She makes it down here to Virginia from time to time to grace us with her presence.  And what fun we had!

I have more from Melissa’s shoot here.  It was a long day, but was really good to be able to get two photoshoots in on one day.  I still have lots of pictures from Sunday at the meetup at Ramblewood.  I am about 1/2 way done with those photos, hopefully I will have them done in a day or so. This has been a lot of fun in the past few weeks, coming up with an idea, and then making it happen.  I still have lots to learn, but every shoot so far has been a learning experience.  Good times ahead.

Thanks Liz for all your inspiration and support.
