My photos in Business Jet Interiors International

A few photos I took for a client ended up in the February 2009 issue of Business Jet Interiors International Magazine.

Always nice to see your work in print, even if it’s online print.  I’ll have to see if I can get my hands on a paper copy.

Edith Piaf and Fashion Shoot

Two weekends ago I had my first big shoot with a Model, Makeup and Hair Stylist and a Clothing/Wardrobe stylist.  I’ve wanted to do a project like this for a while and had come up with a really great concept.  I was lucky to be able to work with some really great people putting this shoot together.

All the Makeup was done by Ky Washington, of Richie Makeup

Clothing Styling by Marcia Alagio

Model, Stephanie Grant

The first part of our shoot we wanted to shoot some fashion shots.  Funky clothes, a hat and great makeup.

A few wedding dress shots as well.

Lastly we did a few themed shots based on the movie La Vie en Rose, which is about the life of French Singer, Edith Piaf.  Stephanie really got into these shots and fit the part great.  Marci and Ky really helped this all come together.

I am so glad I got to work with these talented folks, and I definitely look forward to more shoots like this in the future.

Niki

Niki is originally from the Czech Republic, and has been in the US for about 5 years.  She has been doing some modeling part time while attending college and working.  We put together a shoot that would benefit both of our portfolios.   Here are a few that will wind up in my permanent portfolio.

I am looking forward to working with Niki again in the spring, once it warms up a bit.  The winters in the DC area aren’t all that harsh, but the cold just gets to you after a while.  Of course the summers in Dallas get old come August, too, so I’m not sure where the best place to live is.

The rest of the images from our shoot can be found here.

Jodie and Chris

Obviously I’m not doing a good job of posting this month.  It’s been a busy month, and my blogging is certainly lagging.  Liz and I went to Texas for Halloween this year (it was WAY too expensive to fly to see my folks at Thanksgiving).  While we were there, I was asked to take engagement pictures for my little sister and her fiancee.  They are getting married next March, on the same weekend we were married this year.

I will be performing a dual role, as wedding photographer, and I will also be standing in the wedding, which i’m happy to do.

I’m really happy they asked me to take pictures for them, I certainly look forward to doing this again in March.  Here are a few pictures from their engagement shoot.  Their website will be up and running, hopefully soon (yes, I’m working that one too).  Lots more pictures of Jodie and Chris here.

NaBloPoMo, Day 1, oh…it’s already the 2nd

So, I guess I’m already a day behind for National Blog Posting Month(NaBloPoMo).  Welcome any new readers to my little blog/website.  The wife and I are visiting my parents in Texas, and I had an opportunity to take photos of my little sister and her fiancee, Chris.  So far I’ve just looked at them on the back of my camera, and there are some really great shots so far, at least on the little 2.5" screen of my 30D.  I used a couple of voice activated light stands (my dad and sister) to help with the shots.  I should have them up in a few days.

I have lots of ideas of posts for the month, but I"m not sure if I can come up with 31 separate postings.  We’ll give it a try.  I’m hoping to not get tagged by a lot of people with the "list your favorite 8 this or that" again this year, although since I was a little bit desperate for posts by the end of the month, I did participate in a few of those.

For now, since I do try to keep this blog centered around my photography, I will post my #1 picture from my Flickr account, and I do believe it’s been posted here before.  We weren’t sure if our wedding photographer got any shots of my lovely wife’s bouquet, so I took this on Sunday morning, while her parents were visiting.

So, we’ll see what this month brings to jeremyreitman.com.  Last year my stats soared, and since i’ve been posting more and more this year (as I’ve taken lots more photos) i’ve had a fair number of visitors every day.

And, here’s another one, but this time one of my favorites, taken with my Yashica Mat 124G TLR Camera, which I bought from ebay.
